Chiclayo, Peru 2010 - Oh What a Trip!
We are back and we have positive reports of what God has done flowing like milk and honey! The Naples 1st Church is to be thanked for their love and support so that a team of fifteen could go and simply be a channel of God’s blessings! The Ramiro Priole Church of the Nazarene has waited sixteen years to build a church and they have never had a work and witness team come. Pastor Vasquez told us that our offering of $10,000 and the work that we accomplished laid the cornerstone for the new church! Here is just a sampling of all that God did while we were in Peru!
- 1670 people ministered to in services and Vacation Bible School!
- Thousands of tracts passed out!
- A family of three and a young man received Christ at response to the altar call!
- Hundreds of cups of Kool-Aid and crackers given in the name of Jesus!
- Shirts, shorts, soccer balls, toys, candy, crafts, sandals, and other goodies given!
- Hundreds of children hearing the gospel and responding to receive Christ!
- 2 Corn Toss games built and used by hundreds of children and donated to the church!
- Spontaneous prayers with taxi drivers, tour guides, youth and children, men & women!
- $18,000 raised from Naples 1st!
- $18,000 given by each individual (15 team members @ $1200 each) for trip expense!
- Yamaha Keyboard and Peavey Speaker System given to church for Praise Band!
- Concrete floor funds provided for Pastor Vasquez home (dirt floor)!
- Love offering for a Seminary Student there named Ernesto!
- Cell Phone for a wonderful young man who helped us named Lucio!
- Birthday Party with Music, Piñata, Cakes and gifts to Earla who cooked for us!
- $600 love gift to Missionaries Joel and Heidy Smith!
- Days of hard work bending rebar, digging footers, hauling dirt and VBS Prep!
- Heart to Heart connection with the magnificent Ramiro Church Family!
We received much more than we gave!
This scripture sums up our hearts to Naples 1st and the Ramiro Priole Church in Chiclayo, Peru;
for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you.
